Munson’s Prime names Timothy Bailey as Executive Chef and General Manager
Timothy Bailey brings over 30 years of steak house and restaurant experience to The Prime
Junction City, Kansas, March 2018-Munson’s Prime announces Timothy Bailey as the new executive chef and general manager. He is in charge of day to day decision making as a General Manager and is developing new recipes and menu items as well as working closely with the team to develop marketing strategies, and attract new business.
Bailey is focusing current recipe development on items that feature Munson’s Premium Dry-Aged Angus Beef.
Bailey’s 30 years experience in restaurant management includes serving as executive chef, developing menus, as well as front of house and kitchen management. His goal is to showcase the Munson Premium Angus Beef by furthering the pasture to plate concept.

The Munson Angus cow/calf herd, a breed of cattle known for their meat marbling qualities, originated west of Junction City, Kansas in 1924. Since then, Munson Premium Angus Beef was sold at the legendary Kansas City Stock Yards and more recently to Tyson, formerly Iowa Beef Processing (IBP), in Emporia, Kansas as fed out live animals. Our herd is grass fed and grain (corn) finished by fifth generation ranchers. In 2007, our fifth generation family operated farm and ranch expanded by opening Munson Premium Angus Beef, LLC, a local meat retail store, open to the public. We raise, feed out, and locally process our animals and sell packaged cuts. In 2014, Munsons Prime, LLC opened, a restaurant located in Junction City.
Munson Premium Angus Beef, LLC. and Munson’s Prime are now under the same roof serving customers high quality black angus beef while promoting the pasture to plate concept of conception to consumption.
